My name is Mitch Asher and I am a certified “Natural Chef”. I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicineand love cooking. l get so excited from how the body responds quickly to healthier food. By simply making small changes to our diet the body naturally detoxifies and starts to heal the body from within. I focus on nutritionally dense food which has been minimally processed, using seasonal and locally sourced whole foods with an emphasis on organic.
Food brings people together and by sharing food around the dining table it is the most basic act of kinship. A dining table is a unifier – lots of heated discussions, laughter and friendships are made as you enjoy each other’s company with good food and drink.
In our fast paced world we are losing the tradition of sitting at the table and making time for one another. It doesn’t have to be complicated recipes – just tasty and simple, wholesome and cooked from scratch.
Relax and enjoy your wonderful stay at Passford Farm Cottage and let me do the cooking for you. If you have any dietary requirements I can cater for those and make you tasty delicious alternatives without compromising flavour.
My experience is extremely vast when it comes to healthy food and includes:
1) Being the resident chef at Yoga retreats – cooking for the participants and also carrying out food demonstrations for them to continue their quest for a healthier and tastier lifestyle.
2) Fridge Fills – I go shopping for people with a budget and fill their fridge with tasty, healthy options and demonstrate easy to make dishes from the food I purchased for you.
3) Private Chef – I have been the resident chef for a family giving them lots of amazing meals to fit in with their busy lifestyle.
4) Having always eaten healthily I turned my knowledge and love for food by completing an internship at the 5* Limewood Hotel in the New Forest. I was working at the Herb House Spa – Raw and Cured both during and after my internship using the same culinary principles of which I was trained in at The College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Whilst enjoying your stay at Passford Farm Cottage you may also be interested in how easy it is to make energy balls or learn to cook more plant based foods. Some people lack the confidence to experiment with new foods and find it very daunting – l can arrange a cooking demonstration for you or a small group of friends and we can have fun in the kitchen and see how easy it can be.
Alternatively, if you fancy a massive fry-up, or a traditional Sunday roast this can be catered for. It’s all about balance.
